I know today is only the 5th but so far so good. I have managed to stay in my caloric intake for every day and I have also burned 400 or more calories each day.
Running is going really well, this is week 9 in the program and it is a recovery week. I am glad to have a recovery week, my legs seem so tired. I ran 3 miles last night and my legs hurt the entire time, I had to stop and stretch 3 times, which is really rare for me. So next week I tackle the additional stretching and see if that can cure the problem.
P90X2 has been good:
Day 1: Core video. I have determined that I have NO core strength. I found myself watching the video just wondering "you want me to do what?". Jared and I did this video together and it was nice, we did goof off some but it was fun to do the workout together and see what kinds of crazy things we could and could not do.
Day 2: Plyocide. I found the jumping was a little rough on my knee. I opted out of some of the workouts beause I do not want to mess my knee up jumping around and not be able to run. I will have to be careful with this video.
Day 3: REST, thats right three days in and a rest day! Sounds good to me.
I think this will work out well beause my off days on P90X2 are running days and my off days on Running are P90X2 days. Therefore I will be doing something every day and do not have to double up every day.
I have decided to take a Yoga workshop. It is 8 weeks long and is for weightloss and self esteem. I figure I could use some weightloss and self esteem when it comes to my body. For the most part I am pretty confident and have high self esteem but I do always worry about my body and my weight and many times am uncomfortable in certain situations. I would like to be able to walk into a room and not wonder who in the room is thinner than me. I am going to try and committ to this yoga program, the process, and the practice. My friend Jessie is obsessed with the book "Eat, Pray, Love" and has talked several times about yoga for weightloss and strength. Over the next 8 weeks I shall see if I can find my inner peace and comfort through yoga.
So just to recap...I am doing P90X2, a half marathon running program, and an 8 week yoga program. I am going to be one busy girl but I am ready..this is what I wanted for 2012 right?
No worries, I already talked it over with Jared and he is supportative (we all know I am worried that he will starve if I am not home).
For food this week I have made salmon, soup, coco beef salad, and tonight it is talipia. I feel really great, lots of energy, I am sleeping well at night, and in an over all great mood.
Till next time!
